What does the “right to revolution” mean in the context of the U.S. Declaration of Independence? We will examine the reasons why Israel declared independence as well as President Truman’s response to Israel’s decision to declare independence. Other aspects of Israel’s political independence including an analysis of Israel’s flag and national anthem (Hatikvah) will be discussed.
