Lectures For Lifelong Learners!

The U.S. Declaration of Independence has served as a model for the establishment of many democracies including Israel in 1948. This presentation will examine the reasons why Israel declared independence as well as President Truman’s response to Israel’s decision to declare independence. Other aspects of Israel’s political independence including an analysis of Israel’s flag and national anthem (Hatikvah) will be discussed.
