Erin Starr White
Erin Starr White is an art historian with over 20 years of experience helping people explore and enjoy art. She earned a master’s degree in art history from Texas Christian University, where she focused on modern and contemporary art. Erin led the docent program at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. She has lectured at Tate Britain and taught art and design history at Texas Christian University and Dallas College. She has also served as curator at the Botanical Research Institute of Texas. Erin loves teaching lifelong learners, and her presentations are centered on curiosity and the joy of art.

Georgia O’Keeffe is perhaps best known for her paintings of flowers, full of vibrant color and sensuality. But her seven-decade painting career produced so much more, including her iconic New Mexico desert landscapes and abstracted forms.
This talk explores how O’Keeffe made it to New Mexico and what she found and loved once she arrived. We’ll focus on her Ghost Ranch paintings, as well as the many paintings of her beloved Abiquiu home and surroundings.
