A previous fine arts student, and professional fine artist, Rob has held several successful corporate responsibilities in sales and marketing for some of America’s favorite brands before finding himself unemployed assuming the role of publicist and spokesperson for the Judy Garland Children’s Museum. With the museum he made a major contribution to the “stolen” ruby slippers recovery efforts that generated global news coverage in every major media outlet between 2013-2018, such as TIME and Rolling Stone magazine, Vanity FairHarper’s BizarreNewsweek, and the National Examiner. Now employed by a top Global Life Safety and Security company, Rob’s contribution to the recovery of the ruby slippers also led to features on the “Today Show,” “Good Morning America,” Inside Edition,” and an appearance on the History Channel’s 16th season of “Pawn Stars.” Rob resides in Minneapolis with his beautiful 14-year old daughter, killer police dog, and black cat named “Elsie.”

Good Morning Catherine,
Thank you so much for a fabulous presentation on new Zealand last evening. Our audience loved it! I have been receiving such positive feedback and wanted to share with you the comments I received thus far. As I mentioned last night, your enthusiasm for New Zealand shines through the screen and I do hope you enjoyed it as much as we did and will return in the future.

I just wanted to tell you “Thank you” for the amazing presentation today. You successfully wove together a good immigration story with a “how I did it” on A.I. Truly a job well done.

Just so you know, there were 49 people who attended in person, and about 67 on Zoom. Our best attended session post COVID. And we had several people join as new members, including a couple who happened to be in the library and stopped in to see what was going on!

And, please check out the JGSPBC Facebook page. Marjorie Feldman posted a very nice comment about your presentation.

In short — a five star presentation. Thank you!!

Mark was terrific! He clearly has a passion for advertising! The Superbowl Ad presentation took everyone (veterans and staff) on a fun trip down memory lane. It seemed to pique a bit of curiosity about what this year held, as well. Mark said he has a presentation about Minnesota advertising and it is one we will consider booking in the future!

Hollywood Movie Memorabilia

Ever wonder what happened to the famous submersible car in the James Bond film “The Spy Who Loved Me”? The bed used in the opening “slasher” scene in “Basic Instinct”? John Travolta’s screen-worn suit from “Pulp Fiction”? Marilyn Monroe’s famous white dress that blows high in the air in “The Seven Year Itch”? We’ll tell you where those items and more are currently located in this nostalgic lecture by a movie prop collector who has handled some of Hollywood’s most iconic pieces. Learn who owns them, what they auctioned for, and where they are now in this hour-long lecture full of great movie memories.

How I Helped Find The Stolen Ruby Slippers From “The Wizard Of Oz”

The ruby slippers Judy Garland wears in “The Wizard Of Oz” are among the most iconic pieces of memorabilia in film history. Truly, they belong in a museum. And for years they were in the Judy Garland Museum in Grand Rapids, MN. Until one day in 2005, they weren’t. This hour-long lecture chronicles the theft, the police and FBI’s efforts to recover the slippers, and how and why it took years to find them. It’s a story you will not believe, told by someone who was directly involved in the recovery process.
