Chris Kastle
Chris Kastle is an acclaimed lecturer, workshop leader, singer, songsmith, and author as well as an award-winning storyteller, poet, and artist with a number of recordings and other publications to her credit in addition to a well-viewed YouTube Channel. Her original works possess powerful imagery with the occasional flavor of Celtic and Maritime traditions; her presentations are not only informative but can express humor as well as heartache and Chris is known for inviting her audience to participate.
She has toured throughout the United States, several countries in Europe, and also New Zealand. Her presentations have entertained and educated at a myriad of museums, arts organizations, festivals, community groups, institutions of learning, affinity organizations, and on Tall Ships.
Chris received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Florida Storytelling Association and was a featured teller at the Florida Storytelling Festival; has received several awards from the Florida State Poets Association and been spotlighted in their publication, “Of Poets and Poetry;” placed in St. Johns County Haiku Contest; and gotten 2nd in the NFPA-100 Thousand Poets For Change Art Show. Her book, From the Icy Fingers of the Deep, got five stars in Goodreads.

Variations on a Theme – Lecture Workshop
We all have stories to tell! Personal stories, traditional stories, fictional stories that we have shared over the years with family, friends, and fans. Sometimes we lose sight of the finer points or would like to share the substance in a different way. Enjoy creating variations on the same story using poetic form and narrative. A short prompt will be given to illustrate the possibilities so come prepared with your own short story and discover the possibilities!
