Kareem Tabsch
Kareem Tabsch is an Emmy-nominated documentary filmmaker who has produced work for Netflix, HBO Max, Hulu, Apple, Peacock, PBS, and others. His films have premiered at Sundance, SXSW, DocNYC, Hot Docs, and beyond, earning coverage from The New York Times, NPR, Time, Variety, and countless others.
His breakout feature, Mucho Mucho Amor: The Legend of Walter Mercado (2020), was named one of the 20 essential Latino films by The New York Times, nominated for an Emmy, GLAAD, and Critics Choice Award, and released by Netflix. His feature debut, The Last Resort (2018), resurrected a lost Jewish retiree community in 1970s Miami Beach through the eyes of two photographers. Most recently, Naked Ambition (2023) uncovers the untold story of Bunny Yeager, the trailblazing photographer who shaped pin-up culture and discovered Bettie Page.
A Miami native, Kareem has been a film festival programmer, cofounded a beloved Art House Movie Theater, and hosted a classic film program on South Florida PBS..
