We will be covering the history of American art, beginning in the early 1700’s through current-day. Focus will be primarily on painters and painting styles. By the end of the sessions, participants will have an understanding of how American art has developed and the impacts it has made on the global art world.
Part 3: The Changing Times: How The State Of The World Is Expressed In Art
In the 20th century, America becomes a legitimate art center – second only to Paris. The effects from World Wars 1 and 2 steer American art in a progressive direction.
